Hey everyone.
Well, we’re at that stage of the game again on the Bay, where every trolling technique familiar to fishermen in general is working. Harnesses, Cranks and Spoons are all taking walleyes in both shallow and deeper waters. The East side of the Bay and more specifically, that side of the shipping channel has been on fire for the last 2 weeks. But more recently both sides of the channel near the Center Spark Plug is producing steady limits of nicer fish. The more stained the waters the better the bite, seems to be the steadfast rule this year so far, especially when in waters say less then 14′. I have become kinda lazy myself, but still catching some nice walleyes in close and on both sides of the Saginaw River mouth areas, where the rivers out flow has remained stained from run-off. As always, pick your days weather wise. Be safe, fish smart and tight lines. Capt. Dan.
