Captain Dan’s Fishing Report 6-2-12

Hey Gang.

Wulp, so far so good as far as what I thought might happen this year. The fishing has been off the charts. Starting with kinda of a late spring fishery, it has turned into a stellar season so far and is looking to get even better. Even though we still have an abundance of undersized walleyes in the system, many of those little rascals from the last 2 years are now keeper size and as eager to bite as they were when they were 7 to 10 incher’s. Both sides of the Bay have been producing for virtually anyone and everyone. My Bomber program has kept me and my clients busy, while harnesses and spoons are working as good or better. I like the bombers as it keeps many of the smaller walleyes off the hook. As long as this weather keeps from any major heat waves that warms the waters to much, expect the action to continue both near and off shore.

As always be safe, fish smart, tight lines to all.
