Hey, everybody.
Well, fished on the Saginaw River today in the boat with 200 other guys. Yup…..she’s open up near the convergence and the fish are in there pretty good. Me and the brother went 7 for about 15 today 3-05-10 with the biggest fish still decent males. The brother did have a nice female on that got off next to the boat though. Anyway, the ice is still in fair shape as of today on the bay with guys starting to pick up a few in shallow water near shore before dark. That of course signals the end of the ice season and ushers in the open water bite. Got just 10 more days on the river before it closes, so I’m going to do my best to fish as much as I can. Don’t know when the ice will get off the bay or how much longer it will stay safe, so use extreme caution if fishing last ice. As always be safe, fish smart and tight lines. Capt.Dan.
