Saginaw Bay Au Gres Fishing Report
Walleye fishing south of Pt. Augres remains very good in 23 to 26 feet of water. We could only troll in one direction late this afternoon, but picked up five nice walleye–one 5 lbs. on the scales–for a one-party trip (gotta love those!) in an hour and 45 minutes. Lost one other good fish right at the net. Crawlers and harnesses worked best for us run 57 to 61 feet back behind 2-ounce in-line weights. A fellow captain used Hot ‘N Tots to take 13 walleye on his morning trip. There is still a big school of fish in a four mile stretch of water.
Saturday’s water conditions projected to be 2 feet or less. Good fishing!
