Some Salmon, and Steelhead, are being taken in the 70 to 135 foot of water areas straight out, South and North of the harbor, using Spoons off the downriggers, and the 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10 colored lead lines off the Offshore boards. Small, Regular and Magnum size spoons are still working best. You can also look for the color lines on the lake and work them for better results. Best colors have still been the orange and black, purple and black, gold with orange & black, and bright colors.
Some limits of Lake Trout are still being taken, South, North, and straight out of the harbor in 65 to 135 feet of water, using dodgers or cow bells with the spin and glows and spoons close to the bottom and also spoons down 50 to 90 feet.
Walleye fishing is still slow, but a few are being taken casting from the wall. Try early morning and late evening casting small body baits and spoons for best results. Perch colors and silver with black colors have been working.
There is plenty of water at the ramps, docks and out the channel, so get that boat out and come enjoy a day on the water.
The Harbor Beach Light House tours are starting this Saturday with tickets available at the Harbor Beach Marina. Come out and enjoy a trip back in time. Hours are 10 am to 1 pm with the last trip out to the Light House leaving the dock at 12:15 pm.
Keep those lines tight,
