The fish will be scattered with all of the storms and wind we have had this week, so you will need to do some searching to find them. Try straight out, North, or South of the harbor. Work from 50 foot out to 120 foot of water. Set your lines down 30 foot to the bottom.
Try for Salmon and Steelhead with spoons off the downriggers and also try some 2,3,5,7,and 10 color lead lines. Try the bright orange, yellow, silver and gold colors.
Try for the Lake Trout South, North, and straight out of the harbor in 50 to 130 foot of water areas, using dodgers or spin doctors with the spin and glows and spoons close to the bottom and also spoons down 50 to 100 feet.
Walleye fishing is still on the slow side, but a few are being taken casting from the wall or trolling close to shore. Try early morning and late evening casting small body baits and spoons for best results. Perch colors and silver or blue with black colors have still been working.
There is plenty of water at the ramps, docks and out the channel, so get that boat out and come enjoy a day on the water.
The Harbor Beach Light House tours have started now. They are run on Saturday’s, with tickets available at the Harbor Beach Marina. Come out and enjoy a trip back in time. Hours are 10 am to 1 pm with the last trip out to the Light House leaving the dock at 12:15 pm.
Keep those lines tight,
