Steeelhead fishing and a few Salmon are still being taken out in the deep water, try 110 to 200 feet of water. Fish the top 60 feet of water using spoons off the downriggers, and two, three, five and ten colored lead lines off the Offshore boards. Best colors are orange and black, green, blue and bright yellow. Small, and Regular sizes have been working best. Work the color lines for best results.
Lake Trout fishing is still fair to good in the 90 to 140 foot of water areas, North, South, and straight out of the harbor, try some dodgers with spin and glows or spoons close to the bottom.
Brown Trout will be in closer to shore. Some have been taken in 25 to 45 feet of water.
Use long lines with bright colored spoons and body baits. Using the Offshore boards will let you get in closer to shore with your baits.
A few Walleye have been taken from the wall and in close to shore try 25 to 40 feet of water with small body baits and small spoons early morning and late evenings. Crawler harnesses with night crawlers run on the Offshore boards are also working well.
Bass and Pike are being taken in close to shore casting or trolling spoons and body baits.
Try for perch South by the cemetery using minnows.
Lighthouse tours are off and running on Saturday mornings now. Come out and enjoy stepping back in time with a tour of our lighthouse. Call the Marina Office for advanced reservations or purchase tickets at the office the day of the tours. This also makes a lovely gift for your friends or family. Call 989-479-9707 for lighthouse tours.
There is plenty of water at the ramps and out the channel, ask at the office which docks have the best water.
Keep those lines tight,
