Harbor Beach Fishing Report 7/9/12

Lake Huron Summer Salmon

Lake Trout fishing is fair fishing in 75 to 140 feet of water. Use dodgers with spin and glows, squid,or flys close to the bottom. Try green, black and white or blue colors.

Steelhead are still being taken on the color lines. Start in 50 feet of water and work out. Green and glow, orange, and bright colored spoons on two, three, and five color lead lines with the Offshore Boards are working best.

Coho and some kings are still being taken in 40 to 100 feet of water areas using spoons off the dispeys and downriggers and two, three, and five colored lead lines with the Offshore boards. Try working 25 to 60 feet down. Yellow tails, green with glow, mongoose, and watermelon colors are still working well..

Pike and Bass are still being taken inside the harbor and close to shore on spoons and body baits.

Perch fishing is slow, try South of the harbor by the cemetery using minnows.

Walleye fishing is still on the slow side, but some are starting to be taken North of the harbor on crawler harnesses or small spoons. Early mornings and late evening.

Keep those lines tight!
